Head of Syndicated Loans (AVP - SAVP) (Banking)
(Jakarta Raya)
Our client, a large multinational Bank based in Jakarta, is looking for a Head of Loan Syndication within the Corporate Banking Department. The position is for the arranger of syndicated loans instead of the participator.
Responsibilities:
Key objective:
To develop the Syndicated Loans division by building and maintaining investor’s appetite and maintaining good relationships with banks. To arrange for successful Loan Syndications
Tasks:
Works closely Loan Structuring Department to structure and price loans to match market appetite, and is responsible for developing investor appetite for lending to borrowers
Preparing team marketing materials, pitch-books and reports.
Building and maintaining investor appetite database.
Gathering of data for team use, including, but not limited to, data for reporting to senior management and Board
Supervising the preparation of information memoranda for syndication.
Managing and leading project syndication/co-financing through all phases of the project cycle.
Being responsible for preparation and presentation of financing arrangements to potential financiers.
Structuring and negotiating terms acceptable to market partners.
Managing relationships with commercial bank/ECA: productive interaction with key officers.
Undertaking ongoing interaction with co-financiers in existing transactions.
Providing guidance to more junior staff (e.g. analysts/interims).
Requirements:
Have a minimum of 7 years of work experience of which 3 years at Senior Manager Level
Have strong background in Corporate Banking and min 4 years experience
Have extensive experience in Loan Syndication including the various types of Loan Syndication (Pure Syndication, Club Deal, Under-writer, etc)
Strong analytical ability and financial market skills and understanding
Significant transaction experience in credit/investment, syndication/co-financing or cash flow lending
Thorough understanding of credit, investment and financial analysis and their application in investment decisions and transaction structuring.
Enthusiasm to seek out difficult pockets of investor appetite.
Very good oral and written communication skills in English.
Ability to manage transactions through to their conclusion.
Proven business judgment and high ethical and professional standards.
Sound decision making skills and problem resolution.
Ability to communicate effectively with, and influence, senior bank and ECA officials.
Have experience as acting manager of a team
Bachelor degree or higher in Finance, Business administration
